prompts! because writing about friendship is always fun

So I'm making soup, and that made me think about writing. (Shut up.) I haven't felt like working on any of my longer fics for a while (for those of you keeping track, the current priority order goes: 1. Brian getting hypothermia, 2. the Theatre Production, 3. Ray/Mikey college AU of awkward pining, 4. Big Bang sequel), but now I want to write short things. Tiny bits of warmth for the fall, if you will.

So here's what I want: give me a fandom or a crossover--bandom, BTVS, Veronica Mars, DCU, others if you feel like giving me a REALLY wacky crossover (hint: I love it), a pairing or character, and a prompt quote or picture. I want the prompt to have something to do with fall, friendship, or warmth, or all three. So if someone feels like linking to a soup recipe, that's totally okay.

eeeeeeeeeee! This is so fabulous. Of course Mac would be telling herself, "it's just IT help, it's just IT help," as a mantra, and then Lyn-Z! Being all matter-of-fact about it, yeah I'm gonna kiss you. HEARTS IN MY EYES.

Thank you so much! You totally made my day. <3

Of course, now I have a whole story about this verse in my head, of how they got to this point (the epic pining, oh lord) and the subsequent and inevitable case of some kind that they have to help Veronica with (and I think in this universe Veronica ends up with Bob, just because). Etc, etc. Basically it boils down to wacky crossover femmeslash with pining, which if there was more of it would be the only genre I ever read. Anyway, ♥

If you actually wrote that out, I would read it every day and probably THREE times on Sundays. Wacky crossover femmeslash with pining is the best genre, even if it may be a niche genre, HEE. Throw in Bob and VMars, and its awesome quotient somehow would go up even more. (Backup likes Bob! Keith is less sure about him, but at least he's not Logan Echolls!)

you've got a lot on your plate already, I see, but uh. I really love this idea regardless. It's so much fun to think about, and you are sort of brilliant. ♥

TOO MANY IDEAS. But wouldn't it be lovely? Bob would be a friend of Lyn-Z's, I think, from the performance art she does (he's a theatre tech/music production major, so he does sound for them), and she gets him to help them with bugging. Him and Mac bond hardcore over that, in a completely platonic and geeky way, and Lyn-Z is sort of surprised to see Bob actually animated and talking.

Oh lord. Yeah, it's fun to think about. It's great to combine bandom with a tv show, because it gives you all of these sets to play around with--I know what Hearst College looks like, right? And I have a cast of characters--oh, this could work so well. WHY IS TIME NOT MORE ELASTIC, I ask you.

I mean, you also have the lengthy pining before the above ficlet, right? Wherein Lyn-Z does a lot of really specific art (until her advisor laughs at her) and Mac does a lot of staring and blushing in class (those skirts, man, she knows they're a statement, but they're also really hot, right?).
