prompts! because writing about friendship is always fun

So I'm making soup, and that made me think about writing. (Shut up.) I haven't felt like working on any of my longer fics for a while (for those of you keeping track, the current priority order goes: 1. Brian getting hypothermia, 2. the Theatre Production, 3. Ray/Mikey college AU of awkward pining, 4. Big Bang sequel), but now I want to write short things. Tiny bits of warmth for the fall, if you will.

So here's what I want: give me a fandom or a crossover--bandom, BTVS, Veronica Mars, DCU, others if you feel like giving me a REALLY wacky crossover (hint: I love it), a pairing or character, and a prompt quote or picture. I want the prompt to have something to do with fall, friendship, or warmth, or all three. So if someone feels like linking to a soup recipe, that's totally okay.

I love this! Your Gerard is so adorably grumpy at first and his and Mikey's relationship is so relaxed and comfortable, and the ending is just lovely! We had exactly that kind of autumn weather earlier this week and every morning I pulled up the blinds and saw the sunshine and the glorious colours I was completely mesmerized, just like your Gerard is.

(Btw, I saw the link to these in [livejournal.com profile] mahoni's journal just now and thought that I really ought to friend you AND RIGHT THEN I GOT THE NOTIFICATION THAT YOU'D ADDED ME, it was almost spooky :-)

Yay, thank you! Yeah, we've been having that kind of weather, and I've been wandering around looking and looking, and then I got the prompt, and, well. Someone who actually draws or paints must love those colors, right? And of course, writing the Waybrothers is kind of my favorite thing to do.

(Ha, I saw her post and her note about your icon and thought, self, you've been meaning to friend her forever, you're using her banner, do eeet. So I did. *grins*)

I didn't know you lived in Sweden! In which part? I used to live in Stockholm but moved to Småland a year and a half ago.

Stockholm, man! I've lived in the archipelago outside Stockholm, and six years in the US, too. :D And Småland is very pretty.

I love the archipelago! My mother grew up in Dalarö and when I was a teenager we'd a summer house on Ornö for a while. I've lived in various southern suburbs of Stockholm my whole life (I'm 50 now) so moving to Småland was quite a change to me, but I like it. It's very pretty as you say, and less people. Qnd the pace is different here, much more relaxed.

Relaxed is good. I miss that about the archipelago--we have a house on Väddö, where I go sometimes, and it's very very nice to see some sun and sky, you know?
