I have to finish a philosophy paper and a translation in the next four hours and so I have no time to write the furious entry on sexism and homophobia and sexual violence that I want to write right now.


I mean, okay, between ABC canceling Adam Lambert's appearance but going ahead with Chris Brown's, my philosophy teacher casually using the example of rape trials in his lecture (and merrily generalizing about them), another student in the philosophy class using a fun derogatory term for women who love other women (not as part of the discussion, but I was sitting two chairs away), you know, if I hadn't stopped on the way home and wandered circles around the mall for fifteen minutes, I wouldn't be coherent enough to finish my homework right now.

There, that's the sentence I needed to write.
