No, I kid. Lol so I read this a couple days ago and didn't comment because it would've consisted entirely of WAIT WHUT BOB LEFT?? (I'm behind on the gossip mill like that.) So I read it, checked MCR's website, and was like, oh, okay, just a rumor.
And then I find out today that it's true! LMAO. But I had to go back and read this again, because it's rooted in truth (Brian and Bob aren't part of MCR anymore), but at the same time the details and whys and whatnots are different (I hope !!!) so it relates and displaces the event at the same time, if that makes any sense.
Being in bandom, you get used to things getting shifted around and folks splitting and new people joining the story, but MCR was really where I got into bandom, and the first thing I watched by MCR was Life On The Murder Scene (which should really have an alternate title of Bob Bryar and Brian Schechter Win At Life, Amen, it seems like half the thing is the other boys singing their praises), so Bob was always a huge fixture in my MCR-view and bandom world. And so this split hurt so much more than the other ones.
So tl;dr, THANK YOU for this fic. I know it wasn't your intention to write about an event that actually happened, but more to write a "what if" scenario, but now that it's actually true, I'm glad it exists. And that I got to read it from both perspectives of pre- and post-confirmation. It's maybe a little silly that I got so worked up over a bunch of people I don't even know, but yeah. Thank you.
