I read that part and beamed a lot--that's what I wanted for them; yes, it's absolutely a small-scale version of so much of the other stuff that we have going on, and now there can be all these hints from the night of the talent show and onwards and, well, did I mention I love meaningful tiny details? Because I DO. I also love linking stories--the tripping-over-your-own-feet scene, you know?

And I love imagining Laena and Annie as teenagers, still beautiful but not quite yet so polished, with hair in their faces and bitten nails and scuffed shoes. YES, me too, me very too. And I really just loved writing this whole thing, I can't tell you how glad I am that you liked it. ♥
