It's the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade today

I already shared this on Tumblr, but I saw Sarah Weddington (the lawyer who argued the case before the Supreme Court) speak in college, and the moment I started crying was when she said, “They closed entire wings of hospitals when Roe v. Wade was signed into law, because they were no longer needed. Entire wings of hospitals of women who were no longer dying."

Happy Pro-Choice Day, darlings. ♥

♥ When people ask me why I feel so strongly about abortion being available, well.

All of the love, you. All of it.

Karla and I watched this documentary on cats the other day, and when we talked to our friends about it afterward, I realized that the only charitable contributions I know for sure I want to be making are 1) some kind of counseling service for pre- and post-op abortion patients, and 2) that whole trap-fix-release program for feral cats.

:) Population control: I believe in it.

Happy Pro-Choice Day, indeed. <3

I know, right? I knew it mattered, I knew it had a direct impact on women's health, I just, until she said it like that--my god.
