there is a point where it just all becomes hysterically funny

In the continuing saga of "How My Body Hates Me: Let Me Count The Ways," I'm pretty sure I have the flu on top of my Mystery virus right now. Possibly it's a horrendous version of my sister's mild cold, but the joint aches and headache are horribly suggestive. I guess I will know in the morning.

But in the meantime, because I could use a distraction from the joint aches and the possibility of imminent swine flu, you lot should come ask me things. Like, we could do that meme that's been going around again:

Ask me for my top 5 anything: fandoms, ice cream flavours, cartoon moments, women in my fandoms, OTPs, ideal holiday destinations, goals for the future, celebrity crushes, books I wish would be made into movies, love songs, ANYTHING.

And if you like, I'll ask you a top 5 in the comments!

You people and your impossible questions. *grumbles*

I'm going to choose to interpret this one as Top five characters I wish I'd created, or I'd be here until, well, at least until I felt better.

1. Tiffany Aching
2. Martha Jones (SHE COUNTS)
3. Violet in Jazz by Toni Morrison
4. Pippi Longstocking (except I'm glad Astrid Lindgren wrote her, I love that book so much)
5. Lucifer in Paradise Lost

ah, the danger of top five games, i know! at least it was easier than top five books? :D?

i must admit that i'm only firmly familiar with pippi, but yes, yes indeed on her ♥

Well, a little bit. *grins* There are more characters than books, after all! :)

Wait, Martha Jones? From Doctor Who? WOMAN. Also, Tiffany Aching is Pratchett's nine-year-old witch, and she is amazing. Wintersmith is definitely worth reading.

well, i know about her, but i'm still in remaining five percents of the population not watching doctor who :D pratchett, though! i've read pretty much everything but not wintersmith and around series, and this should be remedied asap, you're right.

Heee, fair enough. Though she's worth watching. Yes, yes it should! They're honestly fantastic, 'a hat full of sky' makes me cry every time I reread it.
