That's all for now! I have some more to post (and one more to answer, which is why the rest aren't going up now), and if anyone have more to ask, they can, you know, ask them. ♥

I'll be out for most of the weekend, until tomorrow afternoon or so--at a pretty ridiculous birthday party in another city. It seems to be the week for those, but more on that later. Love! Take care of yourselves! I remain behind and will probably be behind until the 25th--it's a deadline sort of time, lovelies, and you know what that does. Wish me luck and stuff.

i might as well talk about my dinner if i'm going to stare at my thesis like this

Ingredients:
For the sauce/marinade:
half of a small red onion
ground white pepper
salt
some red wine (cooking wine, whatever)
a couple of tablespoons of olive oil
about two teaspoons worth of finely chopped fresh ginger
one tablespoon of mustard--the kind with actual mustard seeds etc. (this is optional, but it worked really well)
fresh basil (other fresh spices would also work)

about a normal-size bowl full of leafy greens (whichever kind you like)
half an avocado
enough meat or tofu for one person (I used pork, because it is cheap)
quinoa (tip: make double what you need and then you can combine it with some cheese (like goat cheese or feta or even parmesan--something salty), the other half of the avocado and some canned beans for a delicious lunch)

Prepare the quinoa according to the directions on the package. Rinse your greens. Chop the ginger and the onion, shred the basil leaves, and mix the ingredients for the sauce together in a bowl. Turn on the burner for the frying pan. Cut the meat or tofu into bite-sized pieces, put it in the sauce bowl and stir, making sure the meat/tofu is coated. Fry it until it is finished. When the quinoa is done, mix in the rinsed greens and chop the avocado into bitesized pieces. Mix together. Eat.

LJ, MEET MY DINNER.

Ingredients:

100 g smoked tofu
about a normal-sized (breakfast cereal-type) bowl of fresh spinach (I realize that's not a normal measurement, but I rinse spinach by putting some in a bowl and pouring cold water on it and letting it sit for a bit)
1 pear
lemon juice, black pepper, salt for seasoning
goat cheese
cook pasta (enough for one person)

Cook the pasta if you haven't already done that (this is excellent if you want to use up leftovers). Cut the tofu into bite-sized chunks. Heat olive oil in a frying pan. Put tofu plus pears in frying pan, season with salt and pepper, fry it for a while on medium heat until the tofu is looking crisper and the pears are a little darker, then add lemon juice, then the rinsed spinach and keep stirring until it wilts. Add pasta, fry a little more, put in a bowl, add crumpled goat cheese and potentially more lemon, enjoy.

I do not have a camera or I would show you--it looks as good as it tastes. And god, it's so easy.
