HI! You are THE BEST.

Oh my god Yuletide! YAY. The thing is, I love all my fandoms this year so fucking much that it's a little difficult to even provide optional details. But I can do it! If there's one thing I can do, it's babble about stories. If you don't want to go with any of this, seriously, feel free to take it wherever you want. I'm the very definition of easy. (Though if you need the terror, feel free to pretend I am the most exacting recipient of them all.) I have in the past received very diverse fics as gifts, everything from an undercover Chicago cops AU to girl!porn with some light kink, and I have loved them regardless of premise.

A good place to browse through the stories I have enjoyed is my delicious, linked in my sidebar.
Also, here is my Yuletide letter from last year.

General likes in stories: cuddling, h/c, gen, femmeslash, feminism, interesting gender stuff, friendship (YES), trust, explosions, competent people (current favorite in current fandom is a girl who plays multiple instruments including the cello), violence, bruises, endings that are at least hopeful and sharp.

General dislikes in stories: noncon, dubcon (except when done enormously carefully), stereotypical dismissals of female characters (with the requests I've made, it's not like it's a big risk, but it's a sore point), endings that have no hope, heavy kink.

Batgirl

Things I love about the source: Stephanie Brown and her triumphant/occasionally clutzy/always enjoyable/fantastic return to crime fighting! Barbara Gordon! The sheer and utter energy Steph has in what she does. Wendy is also great, as are the plots, generally. And there has been very little fail so far, I'm very impressed. I also love Cass Cain, because she (like Steph) had so much to fight against, and I love the parallels between them, and I just--their friendship back when the book was about Cass, oh my god, those training scenes and their dialogue and their everything. Yes.

Possible stories: Like I said in the sign-up, I'd love a story where Cass comes back (now she is back! Thank you Red Robin!) to Gotham and teams up with Steph/dates Steph/whatever you feel like doing once the two of them are in the same place. Having Steph go to Hong Kong would also be ace. Just put them together (it could also be in the past!) and I will be so happy. I love case files a lot, so if you want to have them working together, that would also be great. But dude, anything.

Bloomsbury Group RPF

Things I love about the source: VIRGINIA WOOLF. And her sharpness. And her vulnerability. And her smarts. And her pretentiousness about literature. And her canonical relationship with Vita Sackville-West. Who is also very great. The fact that Orlando was about Sackville-West.

Possible stories: Oh man. Well, as I said in the sign-up, having them young and discovering things together (and being pretentious about literature) would sort of be the best thing in the entire world, but obviously (!), I'd love a story set in the 1920's as well. As long as there are discussions of literature and possibly lesbianism, I will be so completely happy that someone actually signed up to write this fandom for me (let's call it a long shot, yeah?).

The Vampire Diaries

Things I love about the source: The ladies! Well, everyone. I want a story centered on one of the ladies (or several), but basically I'm in love with this show and the way it absolutely refuses to let women be stereotypes, it insists on having multi-layered characters, it does plot like other shows do montages of hot people, it's genuinely funny and heartfelt and sometimes dark and also seems to really believe in friendship. And also their vampires are smart and hilarious.

Possible stories: Oh man. Have them team up to fight evil! Have Caroline and Bonnie fall in love! Have Elena and Jeremy go on an adventure! I don't know. Have Anna survive and strike up an unlikely friendship! GO FORTH AND HAVE FUN.

Whip It

Things I love about the source: Bruises and violence! *bites lip* I may or may not have a thing. I also love the fact that this is a story about a girl not in relation to a guy but in relation to her figuring herself out, I love that her best friend is super smart and super awesome, I love that they're hilarious together, I just--THIS MOVIE. All these women! AWESOMENESS.

Possible stories: Oh man, Bliss and Pash, give me the Bliss and Pash show. Do you really need more than that? I'd read anything from Pash figuring out why Bliss always comes off the floor turned on as fuck to them going on a road trip and discovering the secret to a happy and fulfilled life or...yes. Go with it. They are my favorites.
