Bob turned around, one sock still in her hand. She quirked an eyebrow at Brian. "I don't have to wear what?"
"The socks."
She shrugged. "Uh, when have you ever known me to like showing skin?"
Brian looked frustrated. "No, I mean--" He slid off the bed and walked over to where she was standing, and then kneeled down.
"Are you starting something?" She asked mildly.
He slid off the sock she'd pulled on, and then kissed where her scar started. "I mean," he said, "that if you wanted, you could show off that damn scar of yours, because it's a fucking badge of honor, alright?"
Bob didn't know what to say. "I--" She touched at his hair and then tilted his face up, because she had to see what was in his eyes right now. "Of course I know that," she finally said. "I just--they're not on my skin, my experiences. I carry them in other ways."
He nodded. "Okay," he said. "As long as you know."
