blaargh. now, see what they've done? because even wording my comment has me second guessing because it feels as though i'm minimising the trauma that an abused child who is not lbgtq goes through... which i really do not want to do.
but still, it was a specific campaign started with that goal, to highlight a particular dynamic. that is not wrong.
i support their desire to try and show children/young people that life goes on and has the potential to (mostly, often) get better. setting up this false antagonism reminds me a little bit of people saying, 'why just gay pride march? where's my straight pride march?' :/ it's so unnecessary.
