Day 13 is asking for recs, and I could use some.

I'm translating subtitles for a set of videos about sexual exploitation of teens online, and it's hard going. They're good videos, but the stories are heart-wrenching.

So. I could use recs that feature enthusiastic consent. Any fandom, really.

Having just accidientally stumbled across a fic that the author didn't notice the consent issues involved, I too went looking for some things with explicit consent to read/reread and these are a few things that I enjoyed. ♥

I just finished read 'Til Break of Day which is not really my fandom OR my pairing (The Hobbit, Bilbo/Thorin) but I'm really glad that I did, because OH that was some deeply lovely explicit negotiation of cuddling and bed sharing.

Indecorous (Sherlock, Holmes/Watson/Mary) Which ... OK, so I am reccing this for its explicit consent and negotiation, but I am also noting with the caveat that it is VERY in character for BBC Holmes, which means that he likes to ignore everyone's boundaries and try to do as much as possible without consent. The Mary in this fic is a dream and calls him on his shit and I love her SO MUCH, but especially early on, Sherlock is prone to ignoring everyone's boundaries, so probably best not to read this fic on a day when you're already feeling prone to wanting to throw privileged shits out the window.

I'm sure you've probably already read Stark, A.E., and Banner, R. Bruce. (2013). "Biodosimetric Tools for Measuring Induced Isomeric Transition in Inverted Paired States." International Journal of Radiation Biology 89.9, 43-85. (Avengers, Bruce/Tony, Hulk/Tony) but OH GOD DOES IT EVER MAKE ME HAPPY. It does feature a Tony who is still Tony (ie one who likes to use exact definitions and gerrymandering to get his way) but everything they do is explicitly something that Bruce wants and they even have a conversation about if it's possible for Tony to consent to having sex with the Hulk. (And actually, in a similar vein this fic, Green indeed is the color of lovers, Bruce/Pepper/Tony, is ANOTHER really great fic involving consensuality and Bruce Banner having sex as the Hulk. Avengers fandom has been doing some really great things with consent and Hulk sex, hasn't it?)
