Unrelated note, but one of the things that's fun about Yuletide is reading other people's Yuletide letters and going "Hey! I remember that book! I used to love it!"
Ronia, The Robber's Daughter was one of those books I loved, but belonged to a friend or maybe my childminder, so I only ever got to read it when I was visiting.
