HI LIVEJOURNAL. I have returned. I MISSED YOU ALL. (Shhh, I know I was kind of failing at hiatus but I was gone a lot and didn't post and stuff.)

HI. Can you tell I'm tired? I spent today doing absolutely nothing. Oh, I suppose I did the dishes while listening to Pulp (♥ [livejournal.com profile] thesamefire), I suppose that was kind of active. The best thing about today was that my sister came home from the US and she brought one of my book boxes (I had two boxes of books that I couldn't afford to ship stored with my host family), which means I now have so many books I'd been missing for the past two years.

Um, right. I turned in the paper, obviously. I still have to defend, but that's in two and a half weeks, and right now I'm just going to enjoy my little window of freedom and stuff. So much love for all the support I received, in so many different forms. Thanks for the comments, the ficlets, the edits (♥, ♥, ♥), the love. Me and my 50 pages of translation analysis are so very grateful.

Tell me how you've been, what you're reading, how the big bangs are going if you're writing one, if you're not, tell me about something else you're writing, tell me what you're up to, if it was sunny today where you are.

Most importantly: ♥.

I think it would work best if people were willing to commit to writing either hurty or really sleazy/louche stuff, but I know those are just my particular kinks talking :/

YOUR KINKS ARE OKAY. I like your kinks! Though I think if some lyrics were taken out of context, you could probably give people room to write less angsty/dirty stuff. You know, if they don't share the kink. Like, I spy a boy, I spy a girl/I spy a chance to change the world.

but the WHOLE POINT of using pulp for prompts is that it is hurty and sleazy!

I just like being inclusive! I'm Swedish, we were born to compromise. Besides, it'd be a hilarious contrast. Sleaze, sleaze, angsty porn, sleaze, sunshine-and-fluff, angst.

There, there. I have to admit, I like fluff as much as the next girl (we've established that I am a sappy wretch, right?), but I, nnngh. Yeah. I would also like more hurty angsty porn, this is truuuue.

I would write that, if I didn't suck at writing porn. You do it.

Hello, you!

So glad your paper's turned in and you have a little bit of time to breathe. ♥

I'm poking at some fic things, hoping to get back into the groove I had going with this one particular AU, and still pondering signing up for bandgirlsbang. I want to! But not unless I know what I'm going to write. Self-imposed prerequisite, to hopefully avoid the psych-out I had with big bang. :)

HI pretty pretty icon.

:D I am indeed breathing, and it is excellent.

Oh, AWESOME. But yeah, the deadline-for-pressure works so much better if you have something you really want to write. Like, I had my big bang in my head way before I started it, and I just want to tell that story, you know? It helps with putting aside writing-related anxieties.

Plenty more where that pretty icon came from!

I've got two potential ideas, I think, that I do want to write and could probably make the word count, but like we talked about that one time, I need more plot to go with all those pesky ~feelings. More story in my story, you know? So, we'll see!

That sounds exciting. Yup, plot is essential. I love plot! I used to think it was the awfullest, but I adore it now.

OH MAN ME TOO. Not the comics but the failing. I am so excited to see how you mess around with yours, though. :D

But speaking of comics, if you know where I can find UA scans, I'd be mostest grateful. I have decided I should probably read it. I haven't read comics in a long time (did we talk about this? I feel like we did), but I'm kind of excited.

I keep deluding myself that there's "not that much to write..." even though I know I have whole SCENES. But we will both finish and have AMAZING stories, as I'm super excited for your final draft.

Comics! Here's Apocalypse Suite. I don't have Dallas, but I think you can find them all at [livejournal.com profile] comicunity. (If not let me know, I can find them somewhere.) It's quality stuff! (I don't know if you've downloaded comics before but it's easy to read them with CDisplay.) Comics are SO FUN and Gerard's brain is SO DELIGHTFUL.

Ahaha YES. I still haven't written the boat-stealing scene. I keep editing bits around it.

\o/ I KNEW you'd know, because you're brilliant like that. I have downloaded Apocalypse Suite and now I just have to figure out what to do on a Mac, but I'm seriously so excited. Comics ARE a lot of fun, I stopped buying them when I started reading super-fast at ten, because it became way too expensive a habit to support on an allowance when I was finishing them in ten minutes. This downloading business is good times.

Ah, according to the info at [livejournal.com profile] comicunity FFView is a good reader for Macs. (You can also, I think, view .cbr files as individual jpeg images if you change the extension to .rar and unzip it, but I recommend using readers as it makes it much simpler.) But I LOVE downloading runs of comics and devouring them... paper copies are better, yes, and I spend more time relishing the art, but for giant runs of stuff, I love just reading them on my computer. (I can totally provide recs, if you want. Just let me know what you're into!)
