"Lindsey turns the corner too fast, and she slips" by [livejournal.com profile] tuesdaysgone

Lindsey turns the corner too fast, she can feel it, and she slips, faceplanting spectacularly and slamming her right knee into the concrete, scraping it open, scrabbling to her feet to keep going despite how much it hurts.

Not getting caught would be a great ending to a shitty, shitty night, she thinks.

Oh man, this picture. It’s from a moment very early in the story, and it happens to be the first scene I wrote. And oh, just look at it. That’s it, that’s Lindsey, and that’s her art in the background (how much do I love that [livejournal.com profile] tuesdaysgone got Lindsey's art into the picture? THIS MUCH), and, and I couldn’t be happier with the colors and the expression on her face, just—yes. Fucking spectacular, this. *grins* And, you know, I may or may not have kept it open for days, okay?

Obviously I friended you back. Hi! :D I really do love it, and I was so excited that you chose this scene. The colors are my favorite part (which, okay, I adore all of it, obviously), I think, because I love that you picked up on the theme in the story and made it part of the art. That made me really happy.

Oh man, when she first showed me this, I was so completely stoked because I remembered the summary and how much I wanted to read this story.

I love all [livejournal.com profile] tuesdaysgone's art and this Lindsey is no exception. Now I must dig into this story. I'm so excited. :D

Good lord, when I got the email from the mods, oh man, epic glee doesn't cover it. She's awesome!

Ha, hopefully the typos didn't ruin it! /o\ I woke up and was like, self, what is this? Why are you inventing new words? Fixed now, at any rate.

I haven't read it yet, so if it's fixed then yay! :D

Although, I'm a fan of new words. New words are good.

Yay indeed. *grins* I certainly feel much better.

Hee, well, me too, but it's nice when said new words make sense. For instance, not like this: “It’s a waste of good booze, instead of you could gon the jangla.” I really don't know what happened there.

Okay now I wish that sentence was still in the fic because I just laughed so hard, I did that hiccup thing and my coworker made her weird 'I'm scared of what's happening' face.

Ahaha, I could put it back? Or not, but I'm glad it amused you too. Once I got over my initial ohgodwhatdidIDO, I was giggling pretty hard.
