I opened Itunes and Adele appeared first, which means that Rolling in the Deep and its Charles/Erik associations is kind of an inevitable answer, but let's see, oh, Gaslight's Old White Lincoln is either me/[livejournal.com profile] kickingrad/[livejournal.com profile] soemily or Steve/Bucky, possibly with bonus!crossdressing Bucky. But I can make that song fit many of my OTPs. Alex/Darwin too.

2. Well, before The Avengers I really wasn't very keen on Tony/Pepper (because of the way he--according to fic, I hadn't seen the movies--treated her in Iron Man), but they're LOVELY and warm and wonderful. And PERFECT for each other and I ship them to a ridiculous degree. Ridiculous. I don't like either of them with anyone else, really.

6. Bandom. I've only ever really been in two fandoms.

(HIIII lovely ♥!)

That's a tough one! I can normally read just about any pairing if it's sold well and doesn't, say, devalue or erase canonical het relationships (I really can't stand it when the story is full of comparisons and "OH HOW MUCH BETTER THIS IS THAN SHE WAS"). I suppose it'd be nice if I liked Steve/Tony more so I could write it, but it's not like I think it's awful or anything.

Frank/Gerard, I guess--it's a pairing I liked so much for a while, but I gradually got bored of it because some of the stories were very same-y, and then I became incredibly disillusioned by MCR as a whole and Frank and Gerard especially. RPS is so vulnerable in that way, it's harder to gloss over things that the "characters" do or to rewrite it, because things like Frank's abortion comments actually happened. So I can't even read most stories featuring them as a central pairing anymore, which is very unusual for me. (Note: this doesn't mean I think any of my friends who still like them/their band/fic about them are awful in any way. I'm in Marvel fandom, I can't cast stones.)

7. Oh man. That's hard, actually--I didn't really have an OTP in bandom (I read and wrote just about anything)--but I suspect I had OTPs before I knew what fandom WAS. I shipped Willow/Oz so hard, and Buffy/Angel too, in a way, but Willow/Oz were just wonderful. (As were Willow/Tara, but they came later. TARA.)

21. Ooooh. Oh, tough. Hmm. It's actually a story I haven't posted yet! Because editing needs to happen. It's my 20K of tiny bookfandom fic--have you read the Tortall books? Basically I found out that the ambiguous-but-hot squire who sort of turned evil at the end and the angsty-and-talented young sorcerer were supposed to be a canonical gay couple and help the main character save everyone, but Tamora Pierce's publishers didn't let her because it was twenty years ago. So I wrote it. Other than that, it's definitely my Yuletide from two years ago: Journey to make, horizon to chase, a Narnia fic where Susan gets a different ending. ♥

12. The Black Widow Avengers prequel. Every time. Always. Artist or author, it doesn't matter.

16. Lololol have you met me, that is ALL I EVER DO. Hmm. Avengers: the AU I'm tentatively thinking about writing is the one where Steve and Bucky are traveling cowboys who are secretly sleeping together and they hire on at Coulson's farm. And there is lots of angst and basically everyone is in love and afraid to show it (Natasha and Clint also work there and Coulson and them are resisting falling into a polyamorous relationship). So UST and no explicit declaration of feelings.

19. I mean I don't know that NO ONE else ships it, but it's a very rare pairing: Steve/Bucky/Natasha is my close second to Clint/Natasha/Coulson. But if we're talking something absolutely no one ships, then it'd have to be one of my weird crossover pairings: Batgirl Steph/Veronica Mars, maybe. I ship Veronica with everyone.

Ooops, that's 18 and not 19.

19. I have so much personal headcanon. I think Natasha and Steve become BFFs before Bucky comes back and their trio either goes somewhere romantic or they continue to be friends because Natasha is already involved with Clint and Phil. They're both faster, stronger, more capable than most people around them; they both have to be careful not to hurt people, but with each other they can spar like nothing's ever going to get to them. This all comes from when he gives her a boost and watches her fly. #favoritemoment

3. I really can read nearly everything! I swear. Usually when I dislike a pairing it's because of how it's written and not because of the pairing itself. For example, I have problems with Bruce/Natasha, because I think the movie establishes that she's scared of the Hulk pretty well, and I don't think that's a good foundation for a relationship, but I've seen it done super well, too and I have read it.

24. Barbara Gordon/Dick Grayson, Clint/Phil/Natasha, Wash/Zoe.

9. Hmm. I wouldn't say it caused me to stop liking fandoms, but it maybe prevented me from getting into them in some cases? Though I will say that the intense defense of dudes who make shitty comments will generally hasten my exit from fandoms in general (if we're talking RPS--I tend to go with "the author is dead!" as my starting point where I have problems with the creator in fictional fandoms).

10. Football slash :)

17. Frank/Gerard! See above.

20. Lololol. Okay, so when I was nine, I read "Uncle Tom's Cabin", and cried SO HARD over the end and how unfair it was, so I determinedly wrote a new ending in the book where he wakes up again at the end and doesn't die. Because unfair.

22. Oh, no, not at all. :) Though sometimes it's INEVITABLE. When Tora and I went to XMFC, we spent half the movie going, "...did he just say that? Wow, that was the most epic first meeting ever. This is actually a romance, isn't it?" etc.

Hee, that is awesome. :D I think I first tried my hand at writing fanfiction when I was around 12-ish. Oh god, there is probably still some of my horrible Anime fic floating around on the Internet...

As for the shipping, I've noticed that there are some series/movies/whatever that utterly fail to hold my interest unless there is a ship (canon or not) I like. But then again I also find myself thinking: "Ugh, why did this thing have to have a romantic subplot, that is so unnecessary." a lot. <.<

26. Oh lord, I'm not sure I have rambling in me at the moment, but, like, okay, so Natasha, yes? I have such epic feelings about her that even after seeing the movie five times and then writing and talking about her for months, I still go "OH" if a .gif shows up on Tumblr or a photo set or a quote or if I'm reminded of a line. "Love is for children, I owe him a debt." MY HEART. My feelings. Etc. She's just kind of really wonderful like that. And if I was actually talking to you about this instead of typing and trying not to spell every other word wrong because, again, exhausted, I'd be able to ramble on and on and on and oooon because I have such feelings about her.
