In the continuing saga of "How My Body Hates Me: Let Me Count The Ways," I'm pretty sure I have the flu on top of my Mystery virus right now. Possibly it's a horrendous version of my sister's mild cold, but the joint aches and headache are horribly suggestive. I guess I will know in the morning.

But in the meantime, because I could use a distraction from the joint aches and the possibility of imminent swine flu, you lot should come ask me things. Like, we could do that meme that's been going around again:

Ask me for my top 5 anything: fandoms, ice cream flavours, cartoon moments, women in my fandoms, OTPs, ideal holiday destinations, goals for the future, celebrity crushes, books I wish would be made into movies, love songs, ANYTHING.

And if you like, I'll ask you a top 5 in the comments!

Oh no! I'm keeping my fingers crossed it isn't flu but as you say, the signs do point that way :-( I hope it won't last long whatever it is! *sends you hot tea and Bob to snuggle with*

Top five places you would like to visit some day? And yes, please ask me something.

2 I don't think I do but I would like to visit Vancouver too because it looks wonderful in all the pics I've seen of it.

4 & 5 Me too! I've been to Japan once over 15 years ago and it was only for little less than a week so I would love to go back and see more of the country.

In no particular order:

1) Chicken and lentil soup because it smells soooo good.
2) Pea and Ham Soup because I all the vegetables and the boiling for hours make me feel so virtuous when I make it :-)
3) Lamb and Bean Casserole because once I've put it in the oven it takes care of itself.
4) French Beans and Egg Salad with Bacon Dressing because it's quick and easy to make.
5) Basic Potato Soup with Additions because it's so versatile.

I'm spotting a pattern here, it looks like I really like soups :-)

I haven't read that. I didn't read "girl books" when I grew up, the nearest I ever came was probably the Black Stallion books. Oh yes, and Pippi of course! Otherwise I mostly read flying books like the Biggles books and detectives like Ture Sventon and Agaton Sax.

ATTACK OF THE COPYEDITOR: Prince Edward Island. No 's. Way to pick the edges and the middle of the country, too ;)
