  1. [livejournal.com profile] mahoni wrote me girl!Spencer/Lyn-Z and it's a DCU fusion, and, oh my god, it could not be more perfect. COULD NOT, I SAY. Witness:

Here Spencer was, in a dark alley being accosted by a couple of drunken assholes; and there Batman was, a dark, pointy-eared silhouette perched on the fire escape railing a few stories up, just sitting there watching the attack. Not rescuing; watching.

    What the hell.

Spencer was going to be seriously pissed off as soon as she kicked attacker #2 in the nuts and finished chasing the douchebags off.

    AND:

Another flash of teeth. "You afraid of heights?" the Batgirl said.

"What --" Spencer said, thrown. "Am I -- no, not really. Why?"

The pointing hand made a fist and turned just a little, and with a sharp hiss a wire shot up through the shadows. Sliding her free hand around Spencer's waist, the Batgirl said in a low, throaty murmur, "Then hold on tight."

AND THE ENDING. Which you should go read. HEARTS IN MY EYES.

  2. [livejournal.com profile] lordessrenegade wrote me Bob/Brian, h/c, which, as she points out, means that they make fun of each other a lot. It is also perfect, see, because it goes like this:

"You know, a guy whose opinions I used to value once told me – in a situation very much like this one – that being on fire is a lot like getting pregnant, in that you either do it, or you don't. And I come down firmly on the side of 'don't,' in case you were wondering."

"Well, I can tell you that I'm definitely not pregnant," Brian said.

"Good. At least the only person you'll be burning to a crisp is your idiot self, and not your baby."

    And then:

"You're confusing me with Gerard again," Bob told him. "He's the one with the principles. I'm the one with the drumsticks. That I'm going to beat you with."

I cackled and beamed and, and everything, god, just go read it. I guarantee it'll cure anything that ails you. ♥

  3. [livejournal.com profile] brilligspoons wrote me girl!Bob/Lyn-Z, 5 first kisses, and it is so lovely, so lovely.

    Like this:

Lyn’s smiles are everywhere, and Bob’s head is spinning so badly from the heat and sugar that she doesn’t even realize what she’s doing when she walks right up to Lyn, cups her face in her hands, and kisses her, right in front of everyone. She hears Frank make some kind of noise, but it’s brief, like someone gagged him before it came out fully.

When she pulls away, Lyn’s face is the one glowing, and her smile is threatening to break the hold Bob has on her face. She leans forward and rubs her nose against Bob’s, skin smelling of bonfire smoke and summer. “Hey, Bob,” Lyn says.

*hums happily* She wrote it for me last week when I was Very Ill, and it was so sweet and soothing to read, especially then. ♥

  4. [livejournal.com profile] delphinaphterus wrote me magical Way brothers gen, and it's quirky and hilarious and wonderful (fandom, write more gen!). ♥!

    Choice quote:

Bob had assumed he'd see the chain on the door moving when Mikey opened it but instead the door blurred in a way that made his eyes hurt. He blinked and the door was open. It wasn't as showy as Bob thought magic should be but at the same time it more sense. He meant to say something clever but what he did say was "that was locked."

"I had the key." Mikey's eyebrow quirked upwards as though he was wondering why Bob was missing that fact.

"The chain was on." Bob said since it was an important point to mention.

    "Oh."

"You open things." Bob winced because that sounded a lot more accusing than it did in his head.

"Yeah." Mikey said sounding supremely unconcerned.

He stretched out full length on the bed and stretched. His toes wiggled in his socks that used to be white but were now greyish from being thrown in with Gerard's black pants.

  5. In short, sometimes it is very very good to be me. I LOVE YOU GUYS.
