things that kind of annoy me this morning

I was really amused by Frank and Gerard and their annoyance with the fangirl who told Frank his beard was ugly. But, you know, thinking about it, I wish Frank would have called out whoever the troll was by name and not made one up, because that would have been a direct reply instead of a more blanket-y dismissal of fangirls as a whole group. I much prefer Bob's strategy of making fun of the person in question directly. And yeah, they're still my favorites, but it annoyed me. Frank, be a little shit as much as you want, just, do it more like Bob, okay?
The other thing I'm kind of irritated about right now is an old interview with Jepha, which I thought I'd gotten over, but, uh, no. It's here, but I would suggest not reading it unless you like to start your day with statements like "I like to make fun of the groupies, most of them are pretty stupid." Jepha, don't say shit like that. I'm sorry a lot of women want to sleep with you because you're in a band, but you know what? The fact that they want to sleep with you because you're in a band partly comes down to a bigger problem: they think that's all they can do in the scene. Women sleep with rock stars, men are rock stars. It'd be nice if you could not decide all of them are the same, make fun of them and call them dumb, at the same time. I'd like that. I think you're fun (and hot) but don't pull shit like that, okay?
And you know what bothers me about both of these incidents? Jepha's bothers me more, but, okay, can we not call large groups of women stupid at once? Groupies are stupid because they go to shows and want to sleep with guys; fans who only like a band because its members are good-looking are stupid. Guys, they pay for your music, they pay for you to live the way you want. Argh.
